Leia was originally my fiancé’s dog, though I like to brag that she ended up loving me more. While merging our families wasn’t always easy, Leia proved she was the perfect addition to our home. She loved to stir up trouble with her sisters, Xena and Athena, and constantly steal the spotlight. She lived to love and cause mischief, leaving a trail of chaos, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Her intense, goofy, and endlessly mischievous personality filled our lives with so much joy. She fought fiercely to live, battling lupus for almost a year longer than anyone expected. On 8/23/25, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye. Though our time with her was too short, I am deeply grateful for the six years I was able to love her and watch her grow into such an incredible girl. Leia’s love, spirit, and determination will never be forgotten. My fiancé, my son, and I will forever cherish the memories we were lucky enough to share with her.
